Spirituality 101 Report: Meditation (Part 1)

I will acknowledge there are many different types of meditation.  The different forms include mindful meditation, transcendental meditation, chakra meditation, loving-kindness meditation, Kundalini meditation, and the list goes on.  There is also self-meditation, and there is guided meditation.  When there are so many choices, where does one know where to begin?  Meditation has been a popular topic lately, due in part to the climate in society today.  People are looking for peace and answers to life. Some may be even looking for a higher power more than ever.  I affirm that if you do not have a higher power to rely on these days, you could lose all hope of a brighter tomorrow.  My higher power is God, He is the true source to tap into.  He is my strength and my shield, and, in Him, I find limitless strength, energy, and power.  I find that some days are more powerful than others, but as long as I cling to Him for everything in my life, it just becomes that much easier.  If you are having trouble quieting the mind, guided meditations may be for you.  A spirit guide can take you on a meditational journey by leading and guiding you through a meditation, but I do caution that you should be careful with whom you let into your spiritual realm.  It is far too easy to let the wrong person take you on a journey you are not ready for, so again, being cautious in choosing a spirit guide is imperative.

If you have not tried meditating, you may want to try it.  First trying by yourself is always best.  If you do not know what meditation is, it is listening to the universe and its messages for you.  What is the source of the messages?  It is God speaking to the spirit within.  Although there are many different types of meditation, it all leads to one place, God.  In the perfect space that is God, one can find peace, happiness, and security.  The place inside your head where the love and light of God can fight off any sickness or weakness.  The impenetrable strength of God’s power is found in praying and meditating.

When one is meditating, one can also astral travel when chanting mantras or working on the chakras.  Which then begs the question, what is astral travel?  Astral travel is when the spirit leaves the physical body to go to other dimensions in the universe.  It is a time for the spirit to soar to heavenly heights to allow the physical body to release the tension and stress of the physical world.  It is also an opportunity to elevate your consciousness to tune into those messages that are waiting for you in the universe.  I do caution also that astral traveling is a very delicate and potentially dangerous activity, and you should know where you are going and why you are going there.  When you first start having out of body experiences, it may be with the assistance of a psychedelic aid such as mushrooms.  The next article will go more into detail regarding astral travel and altered dimensions.
